Does my child need to file taxes?
Only if they made more than $14,000 during the tax year.
When can I file?
Filing always opens on the last Monday in January.
How much do I have to pay to issue a 1099?
>$600 - for services performed for you. Due out in the mail to recipient by January 31st.
Will my refund be delayed?
If you have earned income credit and file before February 28th.
How long will my refund be delayed?
Until March 1st.
Do we have rent certificates?
Yes.

Married - $25,100
Single - $12,550
What is the personal exemption amount?
$0
What documents do I need?
Income tax forms (W2's and/or 1099's,) property tax bills, and mortgage interest statements. Other documents may be needed on a case-by-case basis.
What are Head of Household (HOH) qualifications?

Do I get an Earned Income Credit (EIC)?
It has to be earned income, not Social Security - We will see if you qualify.
Are deductions standard or itemized?
Whichever provides the best deduction for you.

From the last Saturday in January through Tax Day (April 15).

Tracy decides on pricing - depending on what's involved.
What are the marginal rates? For tax year 2025, the top tax rate remains 37% for individual single taxpayers with incomes greater than $626,350 ($751,600 for married couples filing jointly). The other rates are shown below:​
